Summer Term
By Lauren McCabe, 15 Apr 2024
It might not seem like it with this weather but we've just started our summer term. At Church by the Bay, we have lots of regular events to come along to - whether you're a Christian, just thinking about it or would just like to see what we're all about (or have a cuppa!). All our regular events are here below and we do lunches for older folks, quizes, courses exploring the Christian faith and more. Do check this website and our social media for more info on one off events.
Sundays
Our Sunday Church service is now at Westgate Primary School, LA4 4XF. We gather from 10:00am for coffee and start our church service at 10:30am. For more details here.
Pop-up cafe
We run a Pop-up cafe on a Tuesday mornings in term time at our church building 91 Balmoral Road. Tea, coffee and squash, and toasted tea cakes are served between 9am and 10:30am and you can stay for as long or as short as you’d like. Click here to find out more about it.
Baby Grows
Baby Grows is a term time group for Mums, Dads and Carers with babies aged 0-3 years and siblings, on a Thursday morning. More details can be found here.
C3 Teams
C3 is our name for our small groups, for Christians new and old and is an opportunity to look at a Bible passage together and discover what God is teaching us about himself. Teams meet on Wednesday evenings in various locations in church members houses. There are also Wednesday morning groups for Mums, retired ladies and internationals. For more info, click here.
C3 Youth
On Monday's we run a Youth Group for years 7 to 9. We meet for a fun-packed evening that includes food, games, challenges and connecting with the good news about Jesus in the Bible to see how he is relevant for our lives today. To join or for more information, send us an email on
Prayer
Prayer is really important at Church by the Bay. In prayer, we speak to God to express our faith in Him. Whilst we can pray to God at anytime, anywhere, we meet regulary in prayer on a Tuesday morning (on Zoom) and Tuesday afternoon in term time, and on the second Sunday of each month at our Prayer lunches.
