Events Coming up!

By Lauren McCabe, 30 Sep 2024

As well as our usual mid-week groups, we have lots of events coming up over the next few months at Church by the Bay. We'd love to see you along to something:

Hope Explored looks at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel, this three-session series shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present. It doesn't require a huge time commitment and gentle introduction Christianity.

The structure of each session is simple: a short Bible study, a watch of the Hope Explored videos and a discussion based on the videos.

Our next course start on Tuesday 12th November, 3pm at our building, 91 Balmoral Road. If you'd like to come along you'd be really welcome, just email

More information can be found at https://hope.explo.red/

A lovely festive event to get us in the mood for Christmas! Make a family sized Christmas pudding from scratch whilst being served mulled wine and festive treats. This event is for ladies, no cooking skills required though! Please contact us for more details .

Same as above but all themed for Christmas!

For anyone over 55, a chance to meet together for a chat and get to know people, some nice afternoon tea style food and a thought from the bible. Silver Service is FREE and we'd love to welcome anyone who is over 55 to enjoy it.

Our special Christmas service is on Sunday 15th December. It's for all ages with hot food and crafts before the service, a Christmas service which includes a nativity (from stratch on the day), and refreshments and games afterwards. Get the date in your diaries!

We'll also hold a service on Christmas Day morning, more details to follow.
