1 Samuel: the throne
By Gerry Straker, 25 Sep 2017

God's plan for His people is a King. The book of Samuel (in two parts in our Bibles due to the length of the scrolls) teaches us about God's King, what we need a King for, what our King should be like, how to respond rightly to God's King and the relationship between God's King and His people.
Samuel is a thrillng book that takes us to Jesus Christ and His good news of God's Kingdom, the King who loves His people, who suffers for His people, who commands us to repent and believe and who shares His Kingship with us!
